Okay so the rules for the ElsieDate forum (aka elsiedate.com) are simple but important.
* NO HATE. PERIOD.
Treat everyone with respect. It's okay to have differences of opinion, but this is a place where we are coming together to share in the joy of Elsie Fest and related stuff and to help each other out. There is no place here for being rude or hateful or mean or anything of the sort.
So NO hating on other fans (individuals or groups), whether they are here on the forum or not. (Maybe don't do that anywhere, but at least don't do it here!) No disrespecting others based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, height, weight, shape, shoe size, zodiac sign, number or location of piercings, number or type of pets, Hogwarts house, TV preferences, ships, political leanings, socioeconomic status, Myers-Briggs type, dance abilities... get the picture??
Also NO hating on Darren or other performers or other people involved with Elsie Fest or other people involved with Darren's other projects. (If you must do it, do it somewhere else.)
* STAY SAFE. USE COMMON SENSE. USE THE SITE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
We don't expect anyone to come here to take advantage of others, but the world is full of all kinds of people. If you are sharing information with someone, making arrangements to meet someone in person or to travel with them, share costs, etc, take appropriate precautions. We aren't experts in what that means, but be smart and don't put yourself at risk.
While we aim to create opportunities for people to connect in real life, especially at Elsie Fest and related events, we are NOT RESPONSIBLE for whatever decisions you make or for the actions of others. Unless we (the forum Owners/Admins) state it explicitly, we do not endorse any individuals or organizations and likely have no knowledge about them.
-- IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 MAKE SURE YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN IS AWARE OF AND APPROVES OF YOUR PLANS.
* POST IN THE RIGHT PLACE
This is kind of a "duh" for all forums, but make sure you are posting your comment or question in the right subforum and thread. If you're trying to find a ride to Elsie Fest from Philadelphia, don't do it in the forum dedicated to connecting people who want to see Broadway shows. If someone started a thread asking who wants to go see Once On This Island, don't post your request for a ticket for Dear Evan Hansen there, start your own thread. Like we said, "duh!"
